Welcome to the LSU Collection of Genetic Resources. The database you are about to examine is the culmination of more than 30 years of field work by many collectors. All of this information is available to you free of charge. All we ask of you is that you provide your name, organization, and e-mail address so that we can keep track of who is visiting our collection database. This information is important to us because use-rate of our collections is the best way to prove the value of systematic collections to science. Please help us by providing this information. Data are updated periodically, and we are constantly updating taxonomy and checking specimen identifications and associated information. Nevertheless, outdated names, mistaken identifications, and erroneous localities will inevitably occur in any large database. We urge investigators to verify all data by direct examination of the specimens, and we would appreciate notification of discrepancies or difficulties you may be having with this website (please contact museum@lsu.edu).
