Correcting or Withholding Information on the LSU Directory

Students

Students may update their directory information through their PAWS account. After logging on to myLSU, click on the "Personal Preferences" heading and then click on the "Directory Information" link. There you will find a facility for updating your mailing addresses, campus address, e-mail address as well as other information. There is a "Help" link which provides instructions for using these facilities.

Students may elect to release their directory information to the Public directory (which is available to anyone), the LSU directory (available only to the LSU community of myLSU users) or to neither. If a student releases his name to either of these directories, he has further control over which other pieces of directory information are released. Currently, students have control over the release of their name, home or local mailing address, home or local phone, and e-mail address. For example, a student might choose to release only his name and e-mail address to the Public directory while releasing his local address, local phone and e-mail address to the LSU directory.

Students who are unable to use their PAWS account may change their address or withholding status by contacting the Office of the University Registrar through one of the avenues below.

In Person:112 Thomas Boyd Hall
Fax:(225) 578-5991
Mail:Office of the University Registrar, 112 Thomas Boyd Hall, Baton Rouge, LA 70803

All changes must be completed by the fourteenth class day of the fall semester in order for those changes to be reflected in the printed LSU Campus Directory.

Students with questions or comments may call (225) 578-2076 or send e-mail to registrar@lsu.edu.

Faculty and Staff

Faculty and staff of the Baton Rouge campus who wish to change their address must either enter the changes on myLSU (under the "Personal Preferences" heading, click on the "Directory Information" link) or submit a written request bearing their signature to the Office of Human Resource Management, 235 Thomas Boyd Hall, Baton Rouge, LA 70803. Employees of the other campuses should contact the Human Resource Management office for their campus. All home addresses for faculty and staff are withheld regardless of the Release Status chosen, but, because employment at LSU is a matter of public record, names and campus addresses may not be withheld.

All changes must be completed by the first class day of the fall semester in order for those changes to be reflected in the printed LSU Campus Directory.
